GOAL:
The mission of Volusia Honor Air is to extend our deepest appreciation
and gratefulness to our WWII heroes for their bravery and sacrifice by
escorting as many ambulatory World War II veterans as possible to the
new World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., at no costs to those
veterans.
ELIGIBILITY:
All ambulatory World War II veterans.
There will be one (1) chaperone, known as Guardians, for every two
(2) veterans, and one (1) medical doctor, two (2) paramedics, and a
documentary film crew will accompany the group on the trip.
COST:
Total trip expenses are estimated to be $75,000.
World War II veterans on the trip pay nothing.
The cost for each Guardian to attend is $500.00.
